B.R. Distilling has expanded its Blue Note lineup with the addition of a rye whiskey. This straight rye whiskey, crafted with a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, is aged for a minimum of three years and bottled unfiltered at 93 proof. Following its debut at the 2023 Kentucky Bourbon Festival in September, it became available nationwide in early fall 2023. (SRP $34.99)

The aroma presents notes of Twizzlers, honeydew melon, and sweet rye. The palate echoes the melon and rye, with a Ludens lozenge sensation. The mouthfeel and finish are medium. Quite enjoyable and a suitable everyday drinker for its price.
