Great Northern Vanguard Whiskey is technically a bourbon, with a mash bill of 55% corn, supplemented by wheat, rye, and malted barley. This young whiskey from Great Northern Distilling in Wisconsin matures for approximately 8 months in 10-gallon barrels of new, charred American oak.

Vanilla leads, with subtle fruit notes. The finish on the palate has a young wood character.
