Macaloney's Caledonian Glenloy

Full of flavor, complex, and delicious. The nose included vanilla, dried apricots, a bit of candied almonds and some baking spices... and much more! The Sherry influence was noticeable but the dram was nonetheless very balanced. Creamy mouthfeel, sweet, a touch of new oak, and a hint of salt from the sea air. Medium, clean finish and a lingering sensation of nostalgia, wishing you could have the experience one more time, followed by a burst of ecstasy as you realize there is more in the glass! (Till the bottles empty, then you go buy more.)

To begin, I'm a novice, but on the nose, I detect a lot of vanilla and sweetness. It tastes like a fine dessert, very sweet and smooth, perhaps with a hint of spice I can't place. The palate has medium longevity, with a lasting sweetness. I will savor this whiskey as a treat to start the evening. Very nice.

Among my favorites from the new Macaloney's Caledonian range. It has sherry notes with fruitcake, oak, vanilla, and malt. Plenty of flavor, with a medium finish.

An exceptional pour, very well-balanced. The combination of three casks harmonizes beautifully, offering notes of dark fruit, vanilla, coconut, toffee, and cacao.
