Mezcal Santa Pedrera is crafted at the Amatengo distillery, in association with Espíritu Lauro. It is made from 100% espadín agave, cultivated near the distillery and aged for 6 to 7 years prior to harvest. The distillery adheres to traditional methods, including mash fermentation without added yeasts or sugars. This expression, nicknamed "Sadness Breaker," is bottled at a higher proof for enhanced flavor.

Limited options in a humble cantina, yet I discovered this enjoyable pour. The bouquet is a lovely arrangement of floral scents. The spirit is mellow and gently smoky, concluding with a lingering sweetness.
