A subtle American Wheat Whiskey from Roughstock Distillery in Bozeman, the first distillery in Montana. They claim to be entirely local, with a "Grain to Glass" philosophy. "Spring wheat" denotes softer, low-gluten wheats typically used for cake flour. These varieties are smoother and ferment well, offering a less pronounced grain character. It's aged in former Bourbon casks before a finish in heavily toasted new French oak. The initial impression is mild, with hints of oak, honey, straw, and lemon.
