Still Haven Kentucky Straight Bourbon

A balanced Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey crafted by Master Distiller Danny Kahn for Barton 1792 Distillery in Kentucky using American-grown grains and limestone-filtered spring water; aged for 5 years in virgin charred American white oak barrels and bottled at 88 proof. It has a delicate beginning with hints of grains, fruits, wood, and spices; a rich middle adds notes of sweet corn, wheat, caramel, and vanilla; leading to a quick and balanced end with notes of orange zest, apple, cherry, rye spice, honey, and charred oak. A buttery, creamy texture. Smooth at first, with some spice towards the end. Light, almost too light. 

Vanilla and ethanol. Thin mouthfeel and a bitter aftertaste at the end.

A solid bourbon considering what it costs. It's smooth and uncomplicated, making it easy to sip.

It's not overly fiery, but I'd like a touch more sweetness.

Really quite good considering the cost. Notes of caramel and vanilla.
